Another Successful Competition!
The eighth Annual Ontario Provincial Committee Air Cadet Debating Contest was held on Sunday May 1, 2011. The location was the Information Technology Centre at Mohawk College of Applied Arts & Technology in Hamilton, Ontario. The contest commenced at 08:30 hours and concluded at approximately 16:00 hours.
Eighteen teams representing twelve Squadrons participated. The facilities provided by our partner, Mohawk College, were again outstanding and ideally suited to our needs. The event commenced with a briefing session for the officials and judges conducted by Chief Judge Joanne Plaxton. A second briefing session for contestants, officers, instructors and spectators was conducted by Mr. Fred Hopkinson.
The event was highly successful with all of the judges expressing full support and a desire to participate again in future years.
